Every participant and attendee must be identified and their presence must be confirmed as authorized, even if the proceedings have to be interrupted.
Counsel should be asked how they would like to proceed and the event should go off the record until the situation is resolved. If counsel asks for the unauthorized person to be removed, they should be removed. If the attendee is in the same room as the unauthorized person, the attendee should be asked to move to a private location.
There is an observer on an event:
If someone has been identified as an observer, note the name and confirm that they will not be speaking. Add the note to the "Notes" section.
Add them as an attendee under "Other." You do not need to record their email.
There is another reporter in the call:
It is possible that you have booked a Court Reporter Event, you can determine this by checking the state the proceeding is taking place in. If the state is NJ or MI it is a Court reporter Event and you can refer to 'Running a Court Reporter Event' for direction.
If the event is taking place in any other state please determine who the Court Reporter was hired by. From there it is up to the attendees to decide how they would like to proceed. For Direction you can refer to 'Additional Court Reporter Present'.
