What do I do if the client has not joined?

If the client has not joined the event between 1-5 minutes after the scheduled start time, you can reach out to the Event Operations Support Team by texting (213) 376-3480.


The Event Operations Support team will provide you with instructions on how long to wait for the client before signing off.

What do I do if the witness has not joined?

If the witness has not joined you can refer to the client on how they would like to proceed.

The main two outcomes are:

  1. Completing a Certificate of Non-Appearance (CNA)
  2. Marking the event as "Completed – Witness No Show" and ordering a certified transcript

What do I do if the opposing counsel has not joined?

If an opposing counsel has not joined, please defer to the client on how they would like to proceed. They may reach out to the opposing counsel themselves or decide to wait for a set amount of time if the witness has also not shown.

What do I do if the interpreter has not joined?

If an interpreter is necessary and was requested but has not joined the event you can reach out to the Event Operations Support Team by texting (213) 376-3480.

Note: There are some clients that do provide their own interpreters so please confirm that the interpreter was requested through Filevine.
