Assigning Host and Co-Host Roles

How do I make someone a host or co-host?

Assign a Co-host During a Meeting

  1. Start the meeting as the host.
  2. Open the Participants panel.
  3. Hover over the participant’s name (desktop) or tap it (mobile).
  4. Click More (three dots).
  5. Choose Make Co-host.
  6. Confirm when prompted.

The participant now has co-host privileges but cannot start/end meetings, they can only help manage them.

What Co-hosts Can Do

  • Manage participants (mute/unmute, remove, rename).
  • Start/stop recordings (cloud or local, depending on settings).
  • Manage polls and breakout rooms (in most plans).
  • Share screen or control who can share.
  • Help admit people from the waiting room.
